Beaver Drops Final Season Game, Awaits PSUAC Play-Off Seeding
Rochester, PA - On Saturday, Oct. 16, the Penn State Beaver men's soccer team closed its 2010 season with a 5-3 loss to PSUAC rival Penn State Hazleton.
Beaver opened up the scoring early by taking a 1-0 lead just 30 seconds into the match on sophomore Tyler Blake's (Moon High School/Moon Township, PA) 17th goal of the season. Blake scored his 18th goal about five minutes later to build a 2-0 lead for the Lions.
Hazleton responded by scoring three unanswered goals to take the lead. Beaver tied with ten minutes left in the game, but Hazleton came back with two goals to take the win.
Beaver, now 6-9 overall and 6-3 in the PSUAC, is awaiting results from upcoming games learn where they'll be seeded in the PSUAC play-offs scheduled to begin Sunday, Oct. 24. Game site, time, and opponent will be announced.
