Lions Fall to Thiel College 4-1

Greenville, PA-  The Penn State Beaver soccer team was defeated Thursday, 4-1, when they visited Thiel College.

Thiel opened up the scoring, when in the 15th minute of play, Freshman Rory Duncan found the back of the net on a 25 yeard strike.  Sophomore Tyler Blake (Moon/Moon Twp, PA) even the score 11 minutes later, scoring his 4th goal of the season.  Twelve minutes later (38th minute), Duncan struck again, giving the Tomcats a 2-1 lead at half time.  

Three minutes into the second half, Thiel scored to make it 3-1.  Thiel would add another goal to put the final at 4-1.

With the loss, Beaver now sits at 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.  The Lions will return to conference play this weekend, when they host Penn State Brandywine at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Green Valley Park.
