Lions drop to Barons on the road

Stuebenville, OH - The Penn State Beaver men's soccer team fell to 6-8 overall after dropping a 5-2 decision to the Franciscan University Barons.
Beaver started off scoring just two minutes into play, when Tyler Blake (Moon/Crescent Twp., PA) scored unassisted. However, Franciscan responded with back-to-back goals before the half ended.
In the second half, Franciscan took a 4-1 advantage after two goals scored at the 61 and 76 minute marks.
Blake scored another unassisted goal at the 79 minute mark to ease Beaver's deficit, but Franciscan scored one more time at the 80 minute mark, taking the 5-2 win.
With the loss, the Lions are now 6-8 overall and remain 6-2 in the PSUAC. On Saturday, Oct. 16, the team hosts Penn State Hazleton at 1 p.m. in its last regular season game.
