Beaver Defeats Penn College in OT Thriller

Rochester, PA - On Saturday, Oct. 17 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions men's soccer team gained a 2-1 overtime victory against Penn College. The team is now 7-2-1 in the PSUAC and 8-7-1 overall.
Penn College scored the first goal at the 34-minute mark. Although outshot 18-11 in the game, Beaver managed to make the most out of its scoring opportunities. At the the 80-minute mark, sophomore Narinder Gill (Montour High School, McKees Rocks, PA) scored to send the game into overtime.
The Lions overcame the disadvantage of playing the last 20 minutes, and overtime, with a man missing. Sophomore goalie Kevin Conley (Beaver High School, Beaver, PA) helped pick up the slack with 10 saves.
The game ended at the 6-minute mark of overtime when freshman Tyler Blake (Moon Area High School, Moon Township, PA) netted a goal off of an assist from Gill.
On Monday, Oct. 19 the Beaver Lions travel to take on Penn State Hazleton at 5 p.m. in their last regular season match-up.
