Beaver Ties Wilkes-Barre in Double Overtime Battle

Lehman, PA - Beaver brought home its first tie game of the season after a hard fought, double overtime game against Penn State Wilkes-Barre (Lehman, PA).
Wilkes-Barre was the first to score at the 24th minute mark. For the next 61 minutes, Beaver fought to get on the scoreboard. Finally, at the 85th minute mark, Freshman Tyler Blake (Moon/Moon, PA) netted a goal off of an assist from Sophomore Cory Bird (South Side/Hookstown, PA) that sent the game into overtime.
Neither team managed to score within the ten minute overtime, sending it into a second overtime. After neither Beaver nor Wilkes-Barre scored, the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Lions are now 6-1-1 in the PSUAC and 6-6-1 overall. The Lions continue conference play tomorrow afternoon vs. Penn College (Williamsport, PA). Gametime is set for 3pm.
