Lions Earn 5-1 Win Over Mounties

Cresson, PA - On Thursday, Oct. 15 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions men's soccer team improved to 7-7-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the PSUAC with a 5-1 win over the Mount Aloysius College Mounties (Cresson, PA).
Freshman Tyler Blake (Moon Area High School, Moon Township, PA) netted three goals for the Lions with assists from sophomore Todd Long (Kane High School, Kane, PA), freshman C.J. Bowers (West Allegheny Hight School, Imperial, PA) and freshman T.J. Couch (New Brighton High School, New Brighton, PA).
The other Penn State Beaver goal was contributed by sophomore Patrick Vaughn (Seton-La Salle High School, Pittsburgh, PA) and Narinder Gill (Montour High School, McKees Rocks, PA).
The Lions outshot the Mounties 22-8. Freshman goalkeeper Chris Mateer had 5 saves in the victory.
On Saturday, Oct. 17 the Beaver Lions will host the Penn College Wildcats at 4 p.m.
