Beaver Tops Hazleton in Double OT

Hazleton, PA - On Monday, Oct. 19 the Penn State Beaver men's soccer team played at home and won its third consecutive game with a 2-1 double overtime victory over Penn State Hazleton.
Hazleton got on the board first, leading 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, sophomore Narinder Gill (Montour High School, McKees Rocks, PA) netted a goal off of an assist from sophomore Patrick Vaughn (Seton La-Salle High School, Pittsburgh, PA) that sent the game into overtime.
In the first overtime, neither team was able to find the net and the game went into a second overtime. Beaver ended the game at the 107-minute mark when sophomore Todd Long (Kane High School, Kane, PA) scored a goal off of an assist from freshman Tyler Blake (Moon Area High School, Moon Township, PA).
With the win, Beaver enters the first round of the PSUAC playoffs at 8-2-1 in the conference and an overall record of 9-7-1.
