Beaver Lions Shut Out Worthington Scranton

On Sunday, Sept. 21 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions soccer team shut out Penn State Worthington Scranton on the road, 2-0.
Beaver's first goal was made by freshman Todd Long (Kane, PA) with an assist from Mike Zagorski (Beaver Falls, PA). The game's second goal came from sophomore Isaac Shaffer (Ellwood City, PA) with an assist by freshman Matt Doerr (Slippery Rock, PA).
Beaver sophomore Cameron Fertenbaugh (Cumberland Valley, PA) faced and saved six shots while Worthington Scranton faced eleven shots.
The Lions will break from conference play when they travel to take on the Westminster College Titans at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23. Beaver is 6-1 in the PSUAC and 6-4 overall.
