Beaver Soccer Defeats Mont Alto

On Saturday, Oct.11 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions soccer team traveled to Penn State Mont Alto where they scored another PSUAC win, 5-1.
Beaver scored in the first half with a goal by freshman Matt Doerr (Slippery Rock, PA) and an assist by freshman Todd Long (Kane, PA). Sophomore Corey Anderson (Kane, PA) scored the second goal with an assist from sophomore Jesse Wory (Rochester, PA) as well as the third goal with an assist from freshman Narinder Gill (McKees Rocks, PA).
Long made a fourth goal with an assist by freshman Albert Pezzella (New Brighton, PA), and Gill scored the final goal assisted by sophomore Issac Shaffer (Ellwood City, PA).
Beaver forced Mont Alto's goalkeeper to face 8 shots on goal while sophomore goalkeeper Cameron Fertenbaugh (Cumberland Valley, PA) faced 6 shots with 5 saves.
The Beaver Lions are 8-1-1 in the PSUAC and 9-6-1 overall. Beaver will travel to Penn State York on Sunday, Oct. 12 for a conference game at 1 p.m.
