Bio

After his return to Beaver, on the women's side of the ball, after five seasons at Clarion as an assistant men's basketball coach. Coach Rea has moved back to coaching with the Men's team after Coach Marcess Williams was named Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach.

Prior to Clarion, Rea was at Penn State Beaver where he served as the assistant men’s basketball coach under former head coach Marcess William for six seasons helping the Lions go 129-50 during that time with six consecutive 20-win seasons, three PSUAC Titles and six PSUAC West championships. During that time, he was the recruiting coordinator and was also responsible for player development, scouting report, game preparation and game management. Rea helped recruit and develop six 1,000-point career scorers, four All-Americans and 10 All-Conference players.
  
Currently employed as full-time teacher for the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, Rea teaches African-American History and Civics in grades 9 through 12 and designed and developed the African-American History course for the Charter school.
 
Rea also serves as the Board President for the non-profit organization “The Common Ground Project”, an organization that hosts an annual Civil Right’s Bus Tour.
 
A native of New Brighton, Pa., Rea is a 1997 graduate of New Brighton High School where he was a teammate of Williams. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in December 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (history focus).
