Close Game Ends with Beaver Loss
Beaver gets bested by DuBois in final regular season home game of the season

Monaca, PA- Penn State Beaver took on Penn State DuBois in the final regular season home game. This game was close the whole way and came down to the final seconds to find a winner. Starting things off for Beaver was Third-year, Trevor Franklin (Stafford, VA) with a jump shot. Second-year, Jermaine Knaff (Quincy, IL) followed Franklin up with a three. Franklin made another jumper to get the lions to point. Third-year, Jabari Gayle (Stafford, VA) had a layup to finish the half for Beaver. At halftime, the score was 46-36. Beaver came out of the locker room strong with a three by Knaff. Gayle ended the scoring with a layup to tie the game up. Unfortunately, DuBois was able to follow up with a three to gain the lead.
Second-year, Jermaine Knaff (Quincy, IL) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Third-year, Jaylen Vaughn (Beaver Falls, PA) had 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Third-year, Trevor Franklin (Stafford, VA) had 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Third-year, Jabari Gayle (Stafford, VA) had 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist. First-year, Ny'zir Dix (Eastern Shore, VA) and First-year Ronyell Coston (Eastern Shore, VA) both had 8 points. The team went 28-59 (47.5%) from the field and 12-18 (66.7%) from the free throw line.
Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball is now 10-15 overall while being 7-9 in conference. Beaver will hit the court again on February 21st when they travel to take on Penn State Shenango.
