Monaca, PA - Beaver took on Dubois tonight in a conference matchup in their first of three straight conference games. Beaver took an earlier 10 point lead in the first 10 minutes of the half, going up 20-10. Dubois struggled to keep the game close as Beaver closed out the half winning by 11 points, finishing the half 36-25. The second half was a much closer game as Dubois brought the game within 3 points with 10 minutes left and continues to keep it close up until the final 3 minutes of the game as Beaver increased the lead to 8 points. Dubois continued to push for their first possible win of the season by bringing the game back within 5 points with less than a minute left. Dubois began to foul to try to force missed free throws however Beaver continued to convert, closing out the game 65-58.
Senior Izaiah Dickerson had 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Junior Alexander Avery had 17 points shooting 5-7 from 3 point range and 2 rebounds. Senior Devon Johnson had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.
