Monaca, PA-  Day one of the Penn State Beaver Holiday Classic is in the books.  In game one, CCBC defeated USCAA Villa Maria in quick fashion.  Game two was a much closer affair.

The first half started out as a bit of a see saw match.  Beaver would build a lead, and Bryant would storm back.  Beaver led by 10 with 8 minutes to go in the half and once again Bryant came back, tieing the score at half, 38-38.

The second half was a dog fight.  Beaver led the first 19 minutes of half number two, but never more then six.  Bryant took their first lead with one minute left, 68-66, and then 70-66.  Senior John Foster answered with a three, and Beaver was back within one.  The bobcats scored again with 17 seconds left to make it 72-69, but foster hit a three again with five seconds left to send the game to overtime.

In overtime, Bryant scored first, but Beaver quickly took the lead back and never reliquished it; winning 87-82.

In the win, Beaver was led by Foster with 33 points.  Foster as 7-12 from the 3 point line, and 11-22 from the floor.  Junior Keon Butler and sophomores Jeremy Redwine and Sonny Martinez all added double digit scoring (18, 15,12).  Redwine led the way on the boards, grabbing 14 rebounds, recording a double-double.

With the win, Beaver now sits at 6-5 on the season.  They will wrap up the 2019 portion of the schedule tomorrow; taking on Villa Maria in day two of the Penn State Beaver Holiday Tournament.
