Beaver Drops to 1-4 With Loss at St. Vincent

Latrobe, PA -- Beaver falls to 1-4 with a road loss at St. Vincent College.

After falling behing 9-0 to open the game, the Lions had to battle from behind the entire first half.  DJ Austin and Eric Gallupe both scored 7 points in the half to lead the team, however, as they headed into the locker room at the half, they still trailed the Bearcats by 13 points (43-30).  

In the second half, John Foster found his rhythm on offense, scoring 18 of his 23 points, but his spark wasn't enough to ignite the rest of the offense as Beaver fell by a final score of 86-66.

Foster led the team in scoring with 23 points and 9 rebounds.  He was followed by Dominique Stevenson who also scored more than half of his points in the second half, with 13 on the afternoon.  The Lions now sit at 1-4 as they prepare to open conference play on Tuesday, November 28th against Penn State Greater Allegheny.  Tuesday's game is slated for an 8:00 p.m .tip-off.
