Beaver ends losing streak defeats Greater Allegheny 89-73
Beaver defeats Greater Allegheny 89-73 on senior night.

Monaca, PA - Beaver has 4 players score 20 or more points leading the way to defeat Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Beaver would start the game on an 11-3 run after four straight points by Ignacio Alleyne (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge). Luis Rodriguez (San Diego, CA/Calvary Christian Academy) would knock down a three point shot putting Beaver up 30-18 with seven minutes left in the first half. DJ Austin (East Liverpool, OH/East Liverpool) would make an open layup giving Beaver a 40-24 lead with three minutes to go. Beaver would go into halftime with a 43-31 lead.
Eric Gallupe (Sewickley, PA/Avonworth) would start Beaver off with a three point jump shot to begin the second half. Greater Allegheny would trim Beaver's lead 59-52 with twelve minutes left to go in the game. Beaver stayed resillient going back up 82-63 after a Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Hills) layup. Austin would close out the game with two made free throws making the final score 89-73 in favor of Beaver.
Gallupe and Alleyne would both have 22 points followed by Austin and Wright with 20. Alleyne would lead Beaver with 13 rebounds, Wright following with 11. Lamont Wright would close out his senior night with 20 points 11 rebounds and 8 assists.
Beaver now is 6-8 in the conference and 8-14 overall. They travel to Penn State Schuykill on Friday. The last game of the season will be played Saturday at Penn State Hazleton.
