Monaca, PA - Beaver defeat Penn State DuBois 94-88, giving them back to back wins.
Beaver started the the first half quick out of the blocks although conceding a 3 point shot they regrouped and scored 9 after the first 3 minutes. In the next 5 minutes Beaver scored 7 including two 3 point shots but we're still 1 point down (17-16). After this point Beaver started to get into a rhythm by scoring 8 in two minutes including two 3 point shots to take a 24-21 lead. Beaver continued, scoring another 14 points to end the first half 38-38.
<pre>The second half started by both teams trading points in the first 3 minutes to keep the score level at 47-47. The next 10 minutes saw Beaver slip back a little with DuBois taking a 64-57 but this was a turning point. The last 10 minutes was a close affair thanks to beaver scoring four 3 point shots, to take the lead just at the very end in the last two periods.
Leading the Lions offensively was Senior, Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/ Penn Hills) and
Ignacio Alleyne (Stafford, VA/ Colonial Forge) following behind with a double-double scoring 12 points with 12 rebounds.
The Lions next game is Thursday, December 3rd at 7 p.m. against Ohio Valley.
