Penn State Beaver took on Penn State Wilkes-Barre in a potential battle for third place recognition.
Things started off strong for Wilkes-Barre, as they began to impose their presence on the offensive glass. However, with time and a series of forced turnovers Beaver was able to command the lead and keep momentum going into halftime with a score of 39 to 36.
In the second half everything changed.
Beaver eventually lost the lead and Wilkes-Barre took advantage at every opportunity they saw fit. Wilkes-Barre was lead by the strong play by guard A. Walker who scored 24 points and AJ Jones who contributed a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Beaver fell short 84-79.
