Scranton Pa—Lions avenge themselves and pull out a close win against Penn State Worthington Scranton.
Penn State Beaver came out with a sense of urgency against Scranton. Coach Tim Kubis was key in this win with his changes in the starting lineup, in order to continue their constant pressure, Coach Kubis switched his starters and reserves, in attempt to create more balance.
Penn State Beaver applied pressure literally the whole first half as they led by 12 going in to halftime.
Finishing games strong has been a constant problem for Beaver lately, and ironically caused a problem for them today. Throughout the game their lead slowly but surely diminished as they found themselves holding on by 3-points with 20 seconds left to go. Beaver went on to win 81-80.
Fortunately for them the game was put to rest by a series of clutch free throws by Chris Best (Brooklyn,NY/ Bishop Ford). Leading the game for Beaver was Marcus Smith with 18 points, followed by Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Hills) with 12, Best added 8 points.
