Pittsburgh, PA--- Penn State Beaver was looking for their first win of the season today against an undefeated CMU team.
Beaver started off the game going down early 12-4. But then Beaver began to trade buckets with them making it a good game until a 10-0 CMU run to end the half which would put Beaver down 50-30 at half-time. CMU missed only 10 shots in the first half and Beaver struggled to rebound against a very tall team.
In the second half Beaver looked to bring the game a little bit closer but could never do so. Beaver and CMU would trade buckets for the rest of the game. Every time Beaver would get a run CMU would go on a run of their own.
Beaver went on to lose 102-68. The Lions are now 0-6. Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa/Perry) led Beaver with 28 points, Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, Pa/Penn Hills) had 15 points.
Beaver's next game is their first conference game against Penn State Fayette at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd.
