Monaca, PA- The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team returned home with a strong effort after a tough weekend to face Penn State Fayette.
In the first half, Fayette came out strong leading most of the first half. Beaver took the first lead with 20 seconds left in the first half. Beaver maintained this lead into the second half. Fayette tried to work their way back into the game but ultimately couldn't. Beaver increased their biggest lead to 30, before winning the game 87-61.
Beaver's top scorers were Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, PA / Penn Hills) who had a double-double, with 27 points and 13 rebounds, and Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver Falls) who added 19 points. Miller also helped the team out rebound Fayette, adding 8 to their team total of 46.
Beaver now has a conference record of 9-3 (14-6 overall) and hope to continue winning when they go up against Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday. Tip is set for 3:00 p.m.
