Monaca, PA--- Beaver fell for the first time in conference play this season, losing 85-68 to PSU Fayette on Saturday. Saturday also marked senior day as the lone senior, Julian Taylor (Rochester, Rochester) was honored at the Beaver Fieldhouse. Beaver got behind early and trailed by 9 at the half. Beaver battled back and cut the deficit to just 2 with 13 minutes left but Fayette answered and was able to hang on to the lead and come away with the win.
Beaver was led by Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) who finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) added 17 points and 6 rebounds and Taylor scored 15 points. Chris Weathers (New Brighton, New Brighton) scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds giving Beaver four scorers in double figures.
The loss moves Beaver to 18-5 overall and 15-1 in the PSUAC and will play one more conference game this season on Tuesday night, when they travel to PSU Greater Allegheny to play at 8pm.
