Beaver scores 104, gets the win over New Kensington
Lions win 104-56 at home
Monaca, PA--- Penn State Beaver hosted PSU New Kensington at the Beaver Fieldhouse on Monday night and picked up the decisive victory, 104-56, improving to 18-4 overall and staying a perfect 15-0 in the PSUAC. Beaver got out to an early lead, leading 61-30 at the half and came away with their second straight victory and have won 8 of their last 9.
Beaver was led by Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) who scored a game-high 28 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Julian Taylor (Rochester, Rochester) had 12 points and 6 rebounds and Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Markes Royster (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) had his first double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Chris Weathers (New Brighton, New Brighton) had 10 points and 7 rebounds and Sidney Bates Jr. (East Hills, Caroline) scored 10 points giving Beaver 6 scorers in double figures.
Beaver will play again on Saturday at home against PSU Fayette with the game starting at 3pm. It will be the last home game for the Lions as they look to stay perfect in the PSUAC.
