Lions have 5 in double figures, win on the road against New Kensington
Beaver wins 95-69
New Kensington, PA---- Penn State Beaver rolled to another victory on Monday night as they defeated PSU New Kensington by a score of 95-69 to improve to 10-0 in PSUAC play this season. Beaver got out to an early lead and led 50-30 at halftime and that would be a lead that Beaver would hold as they got the win, their third straight victory. Beaver had only 10 turnovers compared to 30 for New Kensington.
Beaver had 5 in double figures, led by Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) who scored 20 points and also had 5 assists. Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) added 15 points while Pat Horton (Farrell, Farrell) scored 14 points and dished out 5 assists. Chris Weathers (New Brighton, New Brighton) finished with 13 points and Mike Martin (Dublin OH, Dublin Jerome) had 11 points to go along with 7 rebounds for Beaver in the win.
Beaver will play again on Wednesday night when they host PSU DuBois at 8pm. This will be the first of three consectutive conference home games for the Lions as they also play Friday night at 8pm against PSU Brandywine and Saturday afternoon at 3pm against PSU Mont Alto.
