Scranton, PA---- Penn State Beaver played their first PSUAC conference game of the season as they went to Scranton on Friday night and won by a score of 91-77 to start conference play 1-0. Beaver led by 10 at the half 43-33 and built on that lead in the second half claiming a 14 point victory.
Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) led the scoring for Beaver finishing with 22 points and also grabbing 5 rebounds. Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) added 20 points and had 7 rebounds. Lamont Wright (Penn Hills, Penn Hills) scored 17 points to give Beaver three scorers in double figures. Both Mike Martin (Dublin Oh, Dublin Jerome) and Marquis Samuels (McKeesport, McKeesport) finished with 8 points for Beaver.
After starting 1-0, Beaver will play once again against a PSUAC opponent as they travel to Wilkes-Barre on Saturday at 3pm.
