Beaver Ends Season With a Win over EMCC
Darius Prince's 15 points leads Beaver to a victory

Uniontown, PA- The Men's Basketball Team of Penn State Beaver (22-6, 16-2 PSUAC) played in the consolation game this morning against Eastern Maine Community College.
Nick Miller (Beaver Falls/Beaver Falls, PA) started the game off with a three pointer to give Beaver a 3-0 lead. The first half included eight ties, but after the game tied at 23 a piece (6:15), the Lions pulled away with a 15-8 run to close out the half. Beaver went into halftime ahead 38-31.
Tyler Care (Lincoln Park/Hopewell, PA) opened up the second half with two consecutive three pointers to give Beaver a 44-33 lead (18:01). The momentum stayed in Beaver's favor as they lead by as much as 17 (63-46) with 8:35 left in the game, but Eastern Maine went on a 7-0 run to bring the game within ten (63-53) with 7:30 remaining. Beaver kept the game in their hands, but Eastern Maine brought the game within two (69-71) with just under three minutes remaining. Beaver went on to win for the morning, 78-73, and finished their season 22-6 overall.
In their last game of their basketball careers, Darius Prince (West Mifflin/Pittsburgh, PA) lead the team with 15 points, Care added 11, and Tony Houghton (Perry/Pittsburgh, PA) contributed 7. Chris Weathers (New Brighton/New Brighton, PA) also had 12 points, followed by Miller with 11. Beaver shot 35.3% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 64.9% from the free throw line.
