Beaver Takes Season Series Against New Kensington
Freshman Patrick Horton scores career high 20 points in win

New Kensington, PA- The Men's Basketball Team of Penn State Beaver (19-4, 15-1 PSUAC) played on the road tonight against Penn State New Kensington (New Kensington, PA).
The game started out close, and after several lead changes and ties between the two teams they found themselves tied at 12. After a three-point shot from Tyler Care (Lincoln Park/Hopewell, PA) to give Beaver a 15-12 lead, Beaver went on an oustanding run to close out the first half. Beaver went into halftime ahead 52-37.
The second half was much like the first, as Beaver outscored New Kensington 45-22 in the half and went on to win for the night 97-63.
Patrick Horton (Farrell/Farrell, PA) lead all scorers for the night with a career high 20 points, followed by Care with 15 (all of which were three-pointers), Darius Prince (West Mifflin/Pittsburgh, PA) added 13, and Julian Taylor (Rochester/Rochester, PA) with 11. Prince also added 9 rebounds, and Nick Miller (Beaver Falls/Beaver Falls, PA) added seven assists.
Beaver returns home for their last home game of the season this Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 3 p.m against PSUAC rival Penn State Greater Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). Free PSU Beaver key tags will be given away to those in attendance.
