Monaca, PA - The Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions basketball team dropped to 3-4 overall when the men were defeated by Geneva College, 79-56, on Monday.
Geneva came on strong in shooting, particularly behind the arc to build a lead; they never looked back. Beaver struggled with shooting - 21.1% from the 3-point line and 40% from the free throw line.
High scorers for the Lions were freshman Mike Mollett (Westinghouse High School/Pittsburgh, PA), who scored 16 points in the effort, and senior David McGarry (Poland Seminary/Poland, OH) who added 14.
Beaver returns to conference play at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10 when it hosts Penn State Schuylkill.
