Beaver defeats New Kensington on the road

New Kensington, PA - The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team defeated Penn State New Kensington, 68-62, to bring home its ninth PSUAC victory of the season.
Tied 39-39 at the half, the final minutes of the game were crucial. Beaver senior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock High School/Slippery Rock, PA) hit two 3-pointers that gave Beaver the boost it needed to come out on top.
For the game, senior David McGarry (Poland Seminary/Poland, OH) scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds, and junior Tony Houghton (Perry Traditional/Pittsburgh, PA) had 13 points. Stoughton finished with 11 points, and freshman point guard Nick Miller (Beaver Falls High School/Beaver Falls, PA) had 12 assists.
Beaver is now 9-1 in the PSUAC and 9-8 overall. On Friday, Jan. 28, Beaver will host No. 3 ranked Southern Virginia University at 7:00 p.m.
