Beaver comes back to defeat Mont Alto

Monaca, PA - After a tough loss on Friday, the Penn State Beaver men's basketball team bounced back on Saturday when they hosted and defeated Penn State Mont Alto, 83-71.
Three Beaver players came off the bench to combine for 31 points, and almost all players were on the board with points, rebounds, or assists.
Junior Tyler Care (Lincoln Park/Aliquippa, PA) was 6-7 behind the arc and had a game high of 18 points for Beaver, while senior David McGarry (Poland High School/Poland, OH) recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Other key shots came from senior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock High School/Slippery Rock, PA) and sophomore Rich Gaston (Shenango High School/New Castle, PA), each with 12 points. Freshman Chris Weathers (New Brighton High School/New Brighton, PA) neared a double-double with 11 points and seven rebounds.
The win took the team to 7-8 overall and 7-1 in the PSUAC. On Monday, Jan. 24 the Lions travel to take on Penn State Fayette in a conference match-up at 8 p.m.
