Beaver Tops G.A. For Sole Posession of Division

Monaca, PA - Beaver improved its record to 5-4 overall and remains undefeated in its conference (2-0) after a 81-57 win over Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Beaver shot an impressive 10-14 (71.4%) from the 3-point line and 58.5% from the field, while Greater Allegheny only shot 14.3% from the 3-point line and 27.3% for the game.
In the win, Sophomore Anthony McPherson (Center/Aliquippa, PA) led Beaver with 14 points, while Senior Zack Fetchin (Hopewell/Aliquippa, PA) added 13. Junior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock/Slippery Rock, PA) and Senior Tim Kubis (Hopewell/Aliquippa, PA) combined for 7 of 10 behind the arc, adding 12 and 11 points, respectively. Junior David McGarry (Poland Seminary/Poland, OH) controlled the boards with a game high 13 rebounds.
The Lions continue conference play on Wednesday, Dec. 9th on the road vs. Penn State Fayette at 8 p.m.
