Beaver Victory Moves Lions to 11-0 in PSUAC
McKeesport, PA - On Saturday, Jan. 30 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions men's basketball team moved to 11-0 in the PSUAC after defeating Penn State Greater Allegheny, 80-56.
In the first half, Beaver held Greater Allegheny to just 7-28 shooting in comparison to its 14-29. For the game, Beaver shot exceptionally well from the field (50.8%) and controlled the boards (43-22).
Senior Zack Fetchin (Hopewell High School, Aliquippa, PA) scored 26 for Beaver, followed by sophomore Tyler Care (Lincoln Park Charter School, Midland, PA) with 13 points and sophomore Anthony McPherson (Center High School, Monaca, PA) with 10 points.
The Lions are now 14-6 overall. On Monday, Feb. 1 Beaver will host Penn State DuBois at 8:00 p.m. to compete for first place in the Western Division.
