Beaver Wins, Heads into Break on Top of West Division
The Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions men's basketball team defeated Penn State Fayette, 102-63, on Saturday, Dec. 20. Beaver took a 49-20 lead into half time and started the second half with a 17-6 run. Beaver had built a 40-point lead by the 15:00 minute mark of the second half.
In the win, five Beaver team members scored in double figures. Junior Zac Fetchin (Hopewell High School) led with 19 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. Sophomore Chancelor Humphrey (Hopewell High School) and freshmen A.J. Poindexter (Wilkinsburg High School), Matt Shearer (Slippery Rock High School) and Tony Houghton (Perry High School) each added 11 points.
Beaver is first at 5-1 in the PSUAC West Division and is 6-3 overall. Beaver will return to the court on January 12 when they host the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m.
