Beaver Comes Up Short In Conference Opener

The Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions traveled to Penn State DuBois on Monday, Dec. 1st, for a conference game against the Nittany Lions of DuBois. In the first half DuBois would start off strong against Beaver leading them 14-6 at the seventeen minute mark. However, Beaver would bring the intensity and hang in there with DuBois as they entered half time with a score of DuBois 42 and Beaver with 38.
The 2nd half would start out in DuBois favor as they gained a 16 point cushioned lead against Beaver. However, with their minds in the game and their hearts set out on that first conference win Beaver would battle back until the end but come up short as the shots wouldn't fall in their favor. Beaver would lose to DuBois in the conference opener with a final score of 103-91. In the loss to DuBois, Freshman Tony Hougton (Pittsburgh, PA) would lead the team with 25 point and junior Zach Fetchin (Hopewell, PA) would lead the time with 10 total rebounds.
Beaver now holds an overall record of 1-4 and a conference record of 0-1. The Lions will look to continue conference play when they travel to Penn State Scranton on Friday, Dec. 5th. Game time is set to start at 8 p.m.
