Beaver loses tough loss to Franciscan

The Penn State Beaver Baseball team took on Franciscan in a non-confernce matchup on their home field. The boys just came off two tough losses aganist Mont Alto on Monday April, 15th, so Beaver was ready to give it their all. Beaver had no problem scoring today. They gave up some runs early in the game which allowed Franciscan to gain momentum towards the beginning if the game. Beaver had tons of energy throughout the entire game!!
Beaver played one 9 inning game today and both teams were enrgetic and ready to get after it. 2nd year, Phillip Betz (Marrieta, CA) started getting the bats going for his team. He lead the team in hits today which was three to help Beaver score five runs today. With the help from 2nd year Nicholas Campbell (Lewes, DE) had 1 really good hit allowing 2 teammates of his to score and help get Beaver on the board. Towards the top of the 5th inning the game ssemed to be very close and highly favored by Beaver. Beaver allowed 10 runs in the 7th inning to allow Fransican to go up big and ominant the rest of the game today. Beaver ended up losing in today's contest versus Fransican 17-5.
Penn State Beaver player of the game today is Phil Betz (Marrieta, CA) finsihed the game with the game with 1 run and 3 hits.
