Penn State Beaver Baseball Struggles to Start a Spark in South Carolina
Myrtle Beach, SC- In Day Two, Penn State Beaver went up against Penn State Schuylkill. The Beaver lions falling short with a final score of 15-12.
Penn State Beaver struggled for the first four innings. At the top of the fifth, the Beaver Lion's were able to get the bats to connect, finding their groove, scoring 8 runs in the inning. In the bottom of the fifth, the Beaver Lion's were able to hold Penn State Schuylkill from scoring. The Beaver Lion's also scored the final two runs of the game.
First year, Justin Perera (Clarksburg,MD), Third year Jericho Dela Cruz (AuBurn,WA), and First year Nathan Asher (Ross,OH) all pitched during the game. As far as hitting goes, Third year Jericho Dela Cruz (Auburn,WA) got three hits and 2 RBI's. Second year Philip Betz (Marrieta, CA) had two hits and 3 RBI's.
