Monroeville, PA - In 2 games, Beaver was bested by CCAC - Boyce. Beaver was able to tally 17 hits on the day and score 8 runs but it was just not enough to bring home a win. The boys played hard and had a good first game run but the second game did not go as smooth. Finishing the first game with a score of 13-7, the boys put up a good fight, for game two the score was a rocky 11-1.
In game one, Beaver had some hot bats. Sophomore, Jake Gartley went 3 for 4 with a homerun and scored 3 of the runs this game. Senior, Jacob Beck, Junior, Dom Petrella, and Sophomore, Matthew Cater all hit doubles in this game. The bats were alive and helped put a lot of runners into scoring position this game. Beaver was able to limit their errors and string some hits together but it was just not enough to pull out a win.
For game two, Sophomore, Jake Gartley went 2 for 3 and helped bring more runners into scoring postitions. Senior, Stefan Romaniuk was the only run to cross the plate this game, which came in the first inning. The team was unable to limit errors, and string together enough hits this game to score any more than that.
