Beaver went on the road Saturday afternoon, taking on Penn State Du Bois in an intense conference game that had Beaver falling to Du Bois 6-0.
The game was intense throughout, as both teams kept one another from making full runs. With Justyn Francona pitching, Beaver managed to keep Du Bois from making any runs early on. Beaver also faced that same problem, as Du Bois kept a strong defense.
The game remained scoreless until the seventh, when Du Bois made 5 runs, breaking the scoreless streak. They made an additional run in the eighth, while Beaver struggled to do the same in their offense. After 9 innings, Beaver fell 6-0.
The team is now 7-13 overall and 6-6 in their conference matches. They will return home Sunday afternoon, facing Penn State Du Bois in a Senior Day double header.
