Game 1 -
Beaver starts the game with 2 runs in the top of the 1st by Blasie McCarty (Beaver Falls, PA/ Riverside ) and Jake Debo (New Brighton, PA/ New Brighton). Debo also earned a RBI, as well as Jordan Price (Conway, PA/ Freedom). Westmoreland wouldn't stay quiet tieing the game 2-2 in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Beaver took the lead in the top 3rd inning on a Nick Casasanta single scoring Debo who reached on a fielders choice in his at bat. The game would be neck to neck with Westmoreland County tieing again 3-3 in the botton of the third. Beaver answered with a run in the 4th, 6th, and 7th inning ending the game with the score of 6-3
Game 2 -
To start the second game Ty Cole would score a run in the top of the 1st and so would Westmoreland tieing the game 1-1. Beaver regained the lead in the top of the 2nd (2-1). Then added to their lead in the top of the 6th as Francona scored to give Beaver a 3-1 lead. WCCC made a run by tieing the game 3-3 in the bottom of the 6th inning.
The game went into extra innings. Scoreless from the 7th until the top of the 10th when Beaver took a 4-3 lead. Scoring Jordan Price (Conway, PA/ Freedom) who singled in his at bat, on a single by Scott Hughes (Aliquippa, PA/ Central Valley). Beaver's Dan Vanderslice only picthes 3 batters in the bottom of the 10th to end the game, he threw all 10 innings for a win.
Beaver's next game is Monday, April 17th at home vs. Penn State Greater Allegany in a double header at 2:00p.m and 4:00p.m.
