Beaver would get behind a strong pitching outing by Junior Nick Casasanta (Moon Twp, PA/Moon) who recorded 10 strikeouts iand tossing a complete game shutout. The bats would come alive in the third and fourth inning scoring eight runs in the combined innings. Junior Steve Antolic (Freedom,PA/Ambridge) had back to back doubles in back to back innings sparking the hit parade. One run is all Casasanta would need as Beaver would go on to win 10-0.
Antolic led Beaver offensively with 2 hits followed by multiple players with 1.
Casasanta would strike out 10, going the distance for Beaver on the mound. He would throw 88 pitches only throwing an impressive 26 balls.
The second game would be a different story as Beaver would only score 1 run loosing 2-1. Senior Matt Sweikowski pitched a complete game striking out 9 but took the loss. Senior Derek Bozic (Beaver Falls, PA/Beaver Falls) tripled in the top of the second. He would score on a sac fly hit by sophomore Matt Capo (Moon Twp, PA/Moon) providing the only run for Beaver. Fayette scored both of their runs in the first inning.
Sweikowski took the loss for Beaver striking out 8 throwing the complete game.
