Monaca, PA--- Penn State Bever hosted its last regular season home game against Penn State York. This was also Penn State Beaver's Senior Day. Beaver had one senior they acknowledged, Stephen Galmarini.
Beaver started out the first inning slow with no runs scored. Beaver also held York scoreless the first inning.
In the second inning the game played into Beaver's favor. Beaver scored six runs in the second inning. Derek Bozic (Beaver Falls, Pa/Beaver Falls), Matt Capo (Moon Township, Pa/Moon), Tyler Thellman (Beaver Falls, Pa/Blackhawk, Duncan Miklos (Beaver Falls, Pa/Blackhawk), Blaise McCarty (Beaver Falls, Pa/Riverside) and Rob Trhlin (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) all scored for Beaver in the second inning.
Beaver would go on to score another five runs to win the first game 11-1.
Beaver had 15 hits, and had 11 runs to go along with that.
In the second game of the double header Beaver kept the momentum swing they had last game.
Beaver scored seven runs in the first inning. Trhlin scored on an inside the park homerun and McCarty made it home also. Jake Debo (New Brighton, Pa/New Brighton) hit a homerun over the gate out of left field. Bozic, Miklos, and Capo all scored also in the first inning.
Off of Matt Sweikowski's (Zelinopole, Pa/Seneca Valley) double, Galmarini and Nick Casasanta scored.
Beaver would score five more runs to win the game big 15-4.
These wins now put Beaver at a record of 12-4 in the confernce and third in the conference.
Beaver's next game is to be determined once the schedule is finalized for the PSUAC Tournament.
