The Penn State Beaver Lions faced off against Penn State Brandywine in the highly anticipated matchup of the season.
This 8 inning thriller started off intersting as Jake Debo and Rob Trhlin both scored for Beaver in the top of the 1st.
But Beaver didnt stop there.
Matt Capo continued the spark for Beaver stealing third and scoring in the top of the second, helping the Lions to a 4-0 lead by the bottom of the 2nd.
Brandywine battled back, bringing in 8 runs in the 3rd inning and 4 runs in the 4th. Brandywine controlled the game managing to a 11-4 lead by the top of the 5th.
An RBI from Tyler Thellman allowed Beaver to bring home a run scored by Nick Casasanta. Beaver then continued to score 3 more runs cutting the deficit to three runs by the 6th inning.
After going scoreless in the 6th, Beaver began to pick it up after a double to center field by Rob Trhlin. Beaver went on an immpressive run knotting the game at 12 runs a piece as they started the 8th inning.
Brandywine went on to win the first game, scoring in the bottom of the 8th.
Beaver bounced back in the second game commanding a 4-0 lead at the start of the game. Beaver managed to mainatain the momentum throughout 7 innings defeating Brandywine 7-4 in a tough away series.
Penn State Beaver is currently 10-2 in conference despite ending their 9 game winning streak.They look to finsih strong throughout conference as they solidify a top spot in the playoffs.
