Due to weather conditions, Penn State Beaver was forced to play an away game on their home field. They faced off against conference rival Penn State Fayette in a double header that carried over into the night.
Fayette came out swinging, as they gained momentum during the bottom of the 1st. They contained a 1-0 advantage until the top of the 3rd inning, until Beaver took control.
Beaver went on a 4-0 run thanks to Blaise McCarty's triple, and a Jake Debo double. Beaver kept their foot on the gas, scoring four runs again in the top of the 4th giving them a commanding lead of 8-1.
Beaver continued to pour on the runs, scoring another three runs finishing the game 11-4.
The second game became exciting quickly as the sun began to set. The two teams were knotted at two runs as the game reached the top of the 2nd.
By the top of the 3rd, the Beaver bats caught fire and began to pour in runs ending the game in 5 innings.
Colin Macon and Andrew Emes controlled the mound for Beaver combining for 10 strike outs. Jake Debo, Jordan Price, and Tyler Thellman pitched in with 2 runs a piece combining for 6 of the 11 beaver runs.
They went on to win the game 11-3 defeating Fayette in 5 innings, bringing them to a 7 game win streak.
Next up, Beaver will face Wilkes-Barre as they attempt to continue their win streak on the road.
