Vero Beach, FL -- Lions fall to the Rochester College Warriors, 5-0.
In a USCAA match-up, the Warriors of Rochester College cruised over Beaver in a 5-0 victory.
After a quiet first inning, Rochester scored in three consecutive innings to take their 5-0 lead by the end of the fourth inning.
Solid pitching by Rochester limted Beaver to just three hits in the game as Sean Reining, who threw a complete game, sat down 6 of the 29 batters he faced on strike outs. Beaver had hits come from Blaise McCarty (Beaver Falls, PA / Riverside) who went 1 for 4 and from Matt Capo (Moon Township, PA / Moon) who lead the team going 2 for 3.
After a few hours off, Beaver will return to action this afternoon when they face St. Lawrence.
