Beaver falls to St. Lawrence, Going 0-2 on the Day
Beaver loses 3-0
Vero Beach, FL -- Beaver drops a game to St. Lawrence by a final score of 3-0.
In what seemed to be an evenly matched game, Beaver went down one run early in the first inning. In the second half of the inning, Beaver managed to get base runners after two batters were hit by a pitch, one reached on a fielders choice and a single by freshman, Ashton McGinnis (Ford City, PA / Ford City). But with bases loaded and one out, Beaver hit into a double play to end the inning scoreless.
St. Lawrence added another run (2-0) in the third inning and their final run in the top of the seventh as Beaver, who did manage four hits in the game, wasn't able to string those hits together to generate run support for Colin Macon (Freedom, PA / Freedom) and Rob Trhlin (Chesterland, OH / West Geauga) who were on the mound for Beaver today.
Beaver fell by a final score of 3-0 and will return to action tomorrow morning for their final game of their spring trip when they face Miami Hamilton.
