Monaca, PA--- Penn State Beaver won two games on Sunday against PSU Hazelton by scores of 13-0 and 11-1 as Beaver improves to 10-7 in the PSUAC. In game one, both Bill Harrington (Monaca, Central Valley) and Greg Napierski (Coraopolis, Hopewell) finished with 2 hits. Grant Scott (Sewickley, Ann Arbor Pioneer) had 4 RBI and Markus Allen (New Castle, Union), Alex Filippi (Aliquippa, Center) and Mike Karas (Imperial, West Allegheny) each had 2 RBI. Cory Wagner (Monaca, Center) and Matt Sweikowski (Zelienople, Seneca Valley) pitched well to combine for the shutout.
In the second game, Harrington finished with 3 hits and Filippi, Scott, Napierski, Wagner, Tom Lewis (Aliquippa, Hopewell) and Jim Musgrave (Economy, Ambridge) all had 2 hits each. Musgrave had a three-run home run and Scott added a two-run shot while Lewis added 2 RBI.
Beaver has one more regular season game as they host PSU Fayette at 3pm on Monday.
