Beaver improves to 8-2 in Conference
Beaver wins 4-3 and 7-0

Monaca, PA - At Penn State Beaver, rain fell from the sky throughout the completion of the doubleheader, as Beaver brought home two victories over Penn State Mont Alto by scores of 4-3 and 7-0. In the first game of the doubleheader, Tyler Schuster (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls High School) got the win for Beaver going four innings, giving up just two earned runs on five hits and struck out three. Zack DelTurco (Monaca, Monaca) followed Schuster with three strong innings of his own, giving up one earned run in his appearance and earning the save. Alex Filippi (Monaca, Center), Tom Lewis (Aliquippa, Hopewell) and Garrett Covalt (Aliquippa, Hopewell) each had a double in the contest while Filippi, Covalt, and Andrew DiPietrantonio (Beaver, Beaver) each had two hits. RBI's were gathered by Filippi, Covalt, DiPietrantonio and Lewis.
The second game ended after one complete inning of play due to a forfeit and Beaver wins game two 7-0. Beaver will play tomorrow at home as they plan host to Penn State York with game times starting at 2 and 4 pm.
