Beaver falls for first time of young season
Hagerstown beats Beaver 6-3

In Vero Beach Florida, Beaver was defeated by Hagerstown Community College by a score of 6-3. Senior Ron Wilkins (Hookstown, South Side High School) was given the loss for Beaver, going four innings while giving up six runs on six hits. In relief, Steve Galmarini (New Castle, Union High School) tossed two scoreless innings and Tom Lewis (Aliquippa, Hopewell High School) pitched a scoreless seventh inning. Hagerstown scored two runs in the first, second and fourth innings. Offensively for Beaver, Alex Filippi (Aliquippa, Center High School) had two hits and scored two runs. Filippi scored in the third inning after a Lewis RBI single and again in the fifth on a Zack Del Turco (Monaca, Monaca High School) sacrifice fly. James Pashuta (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls High School) single in the sixth and then scored following an error. Beaver had seven hits on the day and their season record falls to 1-1.
