Wilkins throws 'no-no', Beaver downs PS Worthington Scranton twice

Monaca, PA - The Penn State Beaver baseball team defeated Worthington Scranton twice on Saturday, 16-0 and 10-0, improving their season mark to 5-11 overall and 5-1 in the PSUAC.
In game one, junior Ronnie Wilkins (South Side High School/Hookstown, PA) threw a no-hitter, walking four while striking out six. Offensively, Beaver scored three in the first inning, eight in the second, and five in the fourth inning to invoke the mercy rule in the fifth inning.
Beaver sophomore Alex Filippi (Center High School/Monaca, PA) had three hits, and sophomore Tom Lewis (Hopewell High School/Aliquippa, PA) had three hits and three RBI's in the win. Freshman Zach DelTurco (Monaca High School/Monaca, PA) had two doubles, driving in three runs as well.
In game two, freshman Zach Davis (Hampton High School/Allison Park, PA) took the mound and had just as much success. Davis gave up two hits, walking three and striking out seven on his way to a complete game shutout.
At the plate, Filippi collected three more hits to go with his two doubles. Lewis, Garrett Covalt (Hopewell High School/Aliquippa, PA), Cory Wagner (Center High School/Monaca, PA), and Adam Falkowski (Blackhawk High School/Beaver Falls, PA) each had two hits.
Beaver will return to action at noon, Sunday, April 12 in a doubleheader with Penn State Hazleton.
