Pittsburgh, PA - The Penn State Beaver baseball team fell to 7-10 overall after a 13-5 loss to the La Roche College Redhawks.
La Roche jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first inning, and tagged on 6 more runs in the second and third, taking an 11-1 lead. Despite a strong relief pitching performance from Freshman Ryan Hudacsek (Ambridge High School/Ambridge, PA) and solid hitting, Beaver still could not get back into the game.
Freshman Markus Allen (Uniontown High School/New Castle, PA) had 4 RBI's, two doubles and two home runs for Beaver, and Senior Ryan Raraigh (Riverside High School/Fombell, PA) and Freshman Cory Wagner (Center High School/Aliquippa, PA) each had two hits.
The Lions return to conference play tomorrow, April 11, when the team hosts Penn State Brandywine at noon for a double-header.
