Beaver Splits With Geneva In Double Header

The Penn State Beaver Lions hosted the Golden Tornado's of Geneva in a non conference double header. In game one, Geneva jumped ahead on the Lions. Beaver was able to score one run in the loss to Geneva. The final score of game one 17-1.
In game two Beaver jumped ahead of the Golden Tornado's when sophomore Huston Lorenzo (Southwest/Miami, FL) hit a grand slam to put the Lions up 4-0. Beaver scored two more runs on the Golden Tornado's to put them ahead 6-0. Geneva rallied against the Lion's to tie the game at six's. In the last inning, with the last up to bat, junior Joe Scherer (Quaker Valley/Sewickly, PA) hit a single to drive in the game winning run.
Beaver will now take a one week break when they jump back into play hosting the Jayhawks of Jamestown Community College on Saturday, March 28th. Game time is to be announced.
